Mayfair Supper Club set to open at the Bellagio
The Mayfair Supper Club will open at the Bellagio Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip on New Years Eve. The Bellagio is owned by MGM Resorts International.

Circus-Circus Hotel & Casino has a new owner
Circus-Circus Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip has a new owner. Phil Ruffin took over the gaming property this week. The billionaire businessman has been approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission to purchase the casino along with its hotel. The property was formally owned by MGM Resorts International.
Phil Ruffin also owns Treasure Island Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The Sports Book is now run by William Hill. Any Sports Book tickets purchased before December 16 must be redeemed at a MGM Resorts property.

STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod new Hotel Reception Open
On Monday December 23, the STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod opened their fully remodeled hotel reception area. The STRAT is owned by Golden Entertainment.

Mirage sets up large platform by Volcano for New Year’s Eve
The Mirage Resort & Casino set up a large platform for VIP guests to watch the New Year’s Eve firework displays on the Las Vegas Strip. The Mirage is owned by MGM Resorts International.

Sahara Las Vegas Hotel & Casino Opens New Lobby Bar
Construction wrapped up on December 23rd on the new lobby bar at the Sahara Las Vegas Hotel & Casino on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip. This space was formally the Monkey Bar when it was the SLS Las Vegas. It was fully remodeled and is now the Tangier Bar & Lounge. The new bar, hotel and casino look great after this massive remodel. The Sahara Las Vegas is owned by the Meruelo Group.

Sahara Las Vegas building Sandwich Shop Construction Update
Construction continues on a new sandwich shop being built at the Sahara Las Vegas Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. It is located in the former Perq space. As of this writing the name has not been announced. They expect to open in February 2020. The Sahara Las Vegas is owned by the Meruelo Group.

New Pedestrian Bridge over Las Vegas Strip Now Open
The new pedestrian bridge over the Las Vegas Strip from Park MGM to the Hard Rock Cafe has opened. This bridge is needed because of the added foot traffic from T-Mobile Arena, Park Theater and nearby casinos.
The bridge ribbon-cutting was at 9am on Monday December 23rd. Construction began in November 2018 and originally was expected to finish in July. The next pedestrian bridge is slated to connect the area in front of Bellagio to the area leading to Planet Hollywood Resort.
Additional plans call for bridges to stretch across Las Vegas Boulevard between Caesars Palace and the Linq, and at Resorts World Las Vegas, but those projects don’t have timelines. In 2020, they plan construction on four more pedestrian bridges crossing Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, on the far north end of the Strip.
Target being built on the Las Vegas Strip Update
Construction continues on the first Target Department Store being built on the Las Vegas Strip. It is located directly across from Park MGM. This project is moving fast and should open in late 2020. This will be a gold mine.

Elvis Presley’s Heartbreak Hotel Closing at Harrah’s
The final performance of Elvis Presley’s Heartbreak Hotel at Harrah’s Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip will be December 30th. Harrah’s is owned by Caesars Entertainment.
Big Elvis at Harrah’s will continue to perform in the Piano Bar. Pete Vallee “Big Elvis” is a Las Vegas tribute artist who has been performing in Las Vegas for over 20 years. His free shows are Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 2pm, 3:30pm and 5pm.

Diablo’s Cantina Now Open at the Mirage
Diablo’s Cantina opened at the Mirage Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip on December 23rd. It is in the former LVB Burger & Bar space that closed November 24th.
The original Diablo’s Cantina was located in the front of the Monte Carlo Hotel & Casino, now Park MGM. That was torn down. There is currently a Diablo’s Cantina at the Luxor Hotel & Casino. This new Mirage location is open for Lunch and Dinner. The Mirage Hotel & Casino is owned by MGM Resorts International.
