Atomic Saloon Show Ready to open Sunday September 8th
The “Atomic Saloon Show” is set to open on the Las Vegas Strip in the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Resort and Casino. The show opens September 8th, after a run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August. Spiegelworld presents this new show, the third after the very popular “Absinthe” at Caesars Palace and “Opium” at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
The venue seats about 250, and audiences will be at a close distance from the action, like they do in the Rose. Rabbit. Lie. Showroom at the Cosmopolitan that was designed to keep “Opium” audiences at close distance.
From Spiegelworld: “Blazing Saddles” meets “America’s Got Talent” meets ”Westworld”. Spiegelworld presents the world premiere of Atomic Saloon Show at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Following its season in the Assembly’s Palais du Variété Spiegeltent, the fast, funny, adults-only circus-variety show will take up residency on the Las Vegas Strip.
Could this be the wildest watering hole in town? Her first hotel was acquired by the government as an atomic bomb test site, but, decades later, Boozy Skunkton has returned. She has collected the “most abnormally sexy but sensationally amoral” troupe of entertainers on earth and is determined to create the greatest saloon show the world has ever known. With an international cast of comic actors, variety acts, and acrobats, Atomic Saloon Show will take audiences to the Wild West as it never was.”

Harrah’s Hotel Lobby Construction Continues
Harrah’s Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip is currently remodeling the hotel lobby and all rooms and suites in the Mardi Gras Tower. Half of the hotel lobby remodel was completed on Monday, August 19th, but the rest continues. Photos are posted below of what it looked like the first week of September.
Harrah’s Hotel closed the Mardi Gras Tower to remodel all guest rooms and suites the week of July 24th. This project is unique, as most room remodels will take place on two or three floors at a time. Caesars Entertainment (owner) decided to take the entire tower out of service.
It is reported the project will be finished in November or December. After the remodel, the new tower will be called the Mountain Tower. Harrah’s has been in the process of removing the Mardi Gras theme throughout the property over the past several months. The Valley Tower, that was remodeled last year, remains open. This remodel looks great.

New Pedestrian Bridge over Strip Update
Construction continues on the new pedestrian bridge over the Las Vegas Strip from Park MGM to the Hard Rock Cafe. This bridge is needed because of the added foot traffic from T-Mobile Arena, Park Theater and nearby casinos. In 2020, they plan construction on four more pedestrian bridges crossing Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, on the far north end of the Strip.
Target being built on the Las Vegas Strip Update
Construction continues on the first Target Department Store being built on the Las Vegas Strip. It is located directly across from Park MGM. This project is moving fast.
