The former Monte Carlo Resort on the Las Vegas Strip, was rebranded to Park MGM in late 2018.  Basically, everything has changed.  They removed the poker room and sports book and added many new restaurants.  In a unique move, MGM Resorts International (owner) decided to not replace the Race and Sports Book.

They instead put in Money Line Sports Bar & Book that opened the week of March 12th, 2018 and closed the week of July 14th, 2019 for a complete remodel.  On Wednesday, August 28th it reopened, just in time for the football season. It is located on the north side of the casino.

They removed several walls, so it looks much larger and brighter. They added more betting stations and more betting boards showing many more games, like a traditional Sports Book.  In the center, there is a large bar with video poker machines and many booths for seating. They have four bowling lanes, beer pong, arcade games and more.  For food, Moneyline has the Side Betty Grill. They removed the clutter and it looks like a fantastic place to watch sports.

Mama Rabbit & Tequila Bar at Park MGM opened on Wednesday, August 28th.  It is located in the front of the casino, on the north side between On The Record Speakeasy and Best Friend Korean Restaurant.

From MGM Resorts International: “Curated by mezcalera Bricia Lopez, Mama Rabbit is an ode to mezcals and tequilas from across Mexico. Mama Rabbit takes its name from Mayahuel, the goddess of agave and fertility. Mayahuel was the mother of 400 rabbits that she nourished with mezcal and tequila, and thus Mama Rabbit was born.

The brightly decorated 4,400 square foot space features a large double-sided bar, multiple rooms, live entertainment, roaming margarita carts and Las Vegas’ largest agave-based spirits selection hand-selected by Lopez, coined the “Oaxacan Princess” by the late Jonathan Gold of The Los Angeles Times. Serving a menu of tequilas, mezcals, signature craft cocktails and light bites, Mama Rabbit invites you to wander into the world of Oaxaca.”

The only thing that needs a replacement at Park MGM is the former Double Barrel Roadhouse, located in the front of the resort on Las Vegas Boulevard. Great job MGM Resorts International on both of these new projects. They both look great!
