Wynn Golf Club reopening to the public in October

The Wynn Golf Club is reopening at the Wynn Resort and Casino in October. The Wynn Golf Course was the only golf course on the Las Vegas Strip, built on the site of the former Desert Inn course.

It closed in December 2017 to make way for a new development on the land into the resort’s proposed $1.5 billion lagoon named Paradise Park and an expansion of the Convention Center and Hotel. Now, just 18 months later, it’s coming back in slightly different form.

In late 2018 plans for Paradise Park were cancelled and the thought of restoring a newer version of the old course became real. The restored course will feel much the same as the original Tom Fazio design, in large part because he was tasked with the new design, working alongside his son Logan.

On October 11th the course will open to the public. Green fees were not announced, but in the past they were up to $500. For now, your best bet to land a tee time will be to reserve a room at Wynn or Encore Resorts. That connection will help you secure tee times 90 days in advance. Non-resort guests can reserve tee times 30 days in advance beginning in September.

The new par-70, 18-hole course sits on 130 acres in a 6,804-yard layout.  The former golf course once ranked No. 49 on Golf magazine’s “Top 100 Courses You Can Play” list. The Wynn and Encore Resorts are both owned by Wynn Resorts Ltd.
