The Hunger Games – The Exhibition opened on the Las Vegas Strip in early May.  It is located in The District at the MGM Grand Resort & Casino in the former location of CSI: The Experience that was relocated to The Underground in April.

From the MGM Grand: “Based on the world-renowned, blockbuster film franchise, The Hunger Games, The Hunger Games: The Exhibition celebrates and explores the epic journey of Katniss Everdeen from her humble beginnings in District 12 to her emergence as the Mockingjay. A dynamic exploration into the world of Panem, the exhibition leads guests on a mission to become a part of the rebellion to conquer the capitol, while featuring stunning architectural design and special effects lighting that highlight iconic costumes, genuine props and artistic set recreations from the popular cinematic series.

Hands-on interactive exhibit elements allow visitors to engage with behind-the-scenes content and explore the technology that brought the incredible books to life in the movies.”

Exhibition Highlights:

Set recreations and inspirational galleries including the Hall of Justice, President Snow’s Office, the Tribute Train, Capitol TV and District 13

Interactive Games designed exclusively for the attraction include:

  • Caesar’s Trivia – visual motion sensor game
  • Beetee’s Archery Training – archery experience set on a 60-foot wide interactive projection screen
  • Mockingjay Echo – sing tones and listen as mockingjays echo the song through the forest

Costume Gallery features nearly 30 original costumes and accessories won by the cast and used on set, including Katniss’s bow and arrow

Pre-training room with additional interactives:

  • Make your own rebellion propaganda commercial
  • Explorable map of Panem
  • Game Maker’s control table
  • Stuntman choreography

It is open daily from 10am to 9pm.  Admission is $45 before fees and taxes, but on Saturday May 18th the tickets were $35 at the box office.  Tip: For $5 off use promo code: AGENT.  The MGM Grand is owned by MGM Resorts International.
