Golden Nugget Las Vegas is located in Downtown Las Vegas on the Fremont Street Experience. It opened on August 30, 1946, and the theme is Gold Rush.

The hotel features 2,419 rooms and suites in four towers.

The Tank Pool complex features a 200,000-gallon shark tank aquarium with 17 private cabanas over three separate floors. You can take a water slide through the shark tank or place a bet at one of five gaming tables. The heated pool is open year-round.

They also have The Spa & Salon at Golden Nugget Las Vegas, fitness center, business center, Budget car rental and three stores.

The Golden Nugget has 38,000 square-feet of gaming space with over 700 slot and video poker machines. The casino pit has 55 table games with Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Mini-Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, 3 Card Poker, Louisiana Stud Poker, Xtreme Hold’em Poker and more.

They also have the only Poker Room in Downtown Las Vegas with 13-tables, High Limit gaming rooms and a Race & Sports Book. The Golden Nugget uses the 24K Select Club loyalty card.

They have many dining options at all price points. In 2005 Houston based restaurant operator Landry’s Inc. purchased the Golden Nugget Las Vegas and many of the restaurants are Landry’s branded. The restaurants include:

The Golden Nugget also has Rush Lounge that has an intimate setting and is open nightly with live entertainment Thursday to Saturday.

Troy Liquor Bar is a nightclub with a second-level balcony overlooking the Fremont Street Experience. It is open Thursday to Saturday nights.

Headliners perform in The Showroom that seats 600 guests. One of which is Gordie Brown who has a residency and performs shows twice a week.

Tip: You can see the world’s largest gold nugget named “Hand of Faith” on display near the hotel lobby (see photo below).

The Golden Nugget has 37,000 square-feet of flexible meeting and convention space, including the 11,000 square-foot Grand Ballroom.

Fun Fact: Steve Wynn became the majority shareholder of the Golden Nugget in 1973, making him the youngest casino owner in Las Vegas at the time.

Fun Fact 2: The 2004 Fox TV reality show The Casino followed two dot-com millionaires, Tom Breitling and Tim Poster managing the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. The show was cancelled after 13 episodes due to poor ratings.
