Binion’s Gambling Hall

Binion’s Gambling Hall Photos, Tips and Details:

Binion’s Gambling Hall and Hotel removed their 366 room hotel tower in 2009. That changed in August 2019 when they opened the 81 room Hotel Apache with newly renovated rooms and no resort fees. The original Hotel Apache opened in 1932.

It is located on Fremont Street. Binion’s Gambling Hall opened as Binion’s Horseshoe in 1951. It purchased The Mint Hotel Casino next door in 1988 to expand and add hotel rooms in the Mint’s tower.

It reopened as Binion’s Gambling Hall in 2004, losing the Horseshoe name and the World Series of Poker to Caesars Entertainment. The theme is Western and “old school” Vegas and their slogan is “Good Food. Good Whiskey. Good Gamble”.

This casino has some old and new slot machines. The casino pit is popular with all table games available, including Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and more. The Sports Book is run by William Hill. They use the All Access Players Club card, that can also be used at the Four Queens (sister property).

The Poker room was moved near the casino pit in 2017. This used to be the “hot spot” for poker, before poker became popular. No longer. Binion’s Horseshoe started the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in 1970 and that continues to be the largest Poker Tournament in the World. The WSOP is now owned by Caesars Entertainment and in 2022 moved from the Rio to Bally’s and Paris Resorts on the Las Vegas Strip.

There are some very good food deals at Binion’s. The restaurants include:

Binion’s Gambling Hall has six bars, including Cowgirl Up Cantina and Whiskey Licker Bar, both located on Fremont Street.  They also have two bars located in the casino and a full bar inside Benny’s Smokin’ BBQ & Brews that is a great place to watch sports. Whisky Licker Up Saloon is located on the second floor and it features a revolving bar and great views of the Fremont Street Experience.

Binion’s Gambling Hall and Hotel Apache are owned by TLC Casino Enterprises, Inc.

Fun Fact: Hotel Apache was the first in Las Vegas to air-condition its hotel lobby.  It was the place to stay for many Hollywood movie stars like Clark Gable, Humphrey Bogart and Lucille Ball. Over the course of over 90 years, the historic Hotel Apache and Binion’s Gambling Hall have had many reports of spirited guests in residence who make it clear that the Hotel Apache and Binion’s Gambling Hall still belong to them. Several employees have been touched, nudged, report sightings of figures; and ghost hunters have reported high levels on their EMF meters and motion sensors along with mediums seeing actual images of past owner’s family members.

Binion’s has free self parking if you are a hotel guest, dine or gamble. See the All Access Players Club booth for details. RTC Bus Routes: DEUCE and CX
