Ellis Island Casino Hotel & Brewery Photos, Tips and Details:
Ellis Island Casino Hotel & Brewery is located less than a half a mile from the Las Vegas Strip. It is a 15 min walk from The Cromwell and Horseshoe. It caters to Las Vegas “locals”.
They opened in 1967 as Village Pub and became Ellis Island Casino & Brewery in 1985 (adding Hotel to the name in 2014). The hotel was renamed Ellis Island Hotel in 2017. It features 289 rooms and 12 suites. They did a major remodel in 2018 and are no longer branded with Super 8 by Wyndham.
They have over 300 gaming devices, including both older and the latest slot and video poker machines. They have a small casino pit with blackjack, craps and roulette with low table minimums and good rules for the player. William Hill has a Sports Book at Ellis Island.
They have several dining options, including:
- Ellis Island BBQ (American) Tip: They have very low prices on complete rib dinners. Very good.
- The Front Yard (American)
- Metro Pizza (Italian)
- Via Focaccia (Italian)
- Village Pub & Cafe (American) Open 24/7 Tip: Ask the Players Club Booth about how to get the $9.99 steak special at the Village Pub. That is a fantastic bargain.
Ellis Island formerly had a Brewpub on-site. They still brew their own craft beers off-site at their Silver Reef Brewing Company, in St. George, Utah. Their nightly karaoke is very popular. It is owned by the Ellis family and they have some of the friendliest employees in Las Vegas.
