Big Elvis at Harrah’s Las Vegas performs in the Piano Bar. Pete Vallee “Big Elvis” is a Las Vegas tribute artist who has been performing in Las Vegas since 1997. He has a Star on the Las Vegas Strip in front of Harrah’s Hotel & Casino that was issued on February 27, 2017. He has performed at several casinos in Southern Nevada. He started at the Roadhouse Casino on Boulder Highway, in Henderson, Nevada. He played for several years at the Barbary Coast and Bill’s Gambling Hall.
In 2005, he weighed 960 pounds. Five years later, he had dropped down to 450 pounds. At one stage he had to weigh himself on the scales in a post office which he had to access from the back entrance, so he wouldn’t be seen. He achieved his weight loss with diet and exercise, and with help from his manager Lucille Star. Pete Vallee was born in Memphis, Tennessee.
Tip: Big Elvis is currently performing in The Piano Bar at Harrah’s Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip Mon, Wed, Fri & Sat at 2, 3:30 and 5pm.
In January, 2023, Pete Vallee signed a new extended contract with Caesars Entertainment for two more years at Harrah’s Las Vegas.
Big Elvis puts on a great show and Pete Vallee is a very nice guy. I first met him at the Roadhouse Casino in Henderson. In September 2015, Pete Vallee was hospitalized after being involved in a road accident on Blue Diamond road that resulted in leg lacerations and bruises.
In 2018, Paul Stone created a short film titled “Big Elvis”, a biography of Pete Vallee’s life and career, as well as his claim to be Elvis’s biological son. It was met with positive reviews. It was also nominated for Best Documentary Short at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Big Elvis is a true Las Vegas “legend”.
