OYO Hotel & Casino Photos, Tips and Details:

OYO Hotel & Casino opened in 1973 as a Howard Johnson Hotel. It has gone through many name changes. It was the San Remo from 1989 until 2006 when it became Hooters Casino Hotel. Hooters was rebranded OYO Hotel & Casino on September 16, 2019.

It is located next to the Tropicana Hotel & Casino and across the street from the MGM Grand. It is a half a block from the “four corners” of the Las Vegas Strip. It is owned by Highgate and OYO Hotels & Homes, and the casino is operated by Paragon Gaming.

OYO’s 696 rooms and casino were remodeled in 2017. It is a budget hotel with some of the lowest limits in Las Vegas on table games in the casino.

They have a 30,000-square-foot gaming floor with 354 slot and video poker machines. They have 15 table games featuring Blackjack, Craps and Roulette. They have a very nice William Hill Sports Book and they use the OYO Rewards players card. Tip: OYO is the only casino on the Las Vegas Strip to offer $1 Blackjack 24/7.

Tip: OYO has low drink prices at the bars compared to the Las Vegas Strip. In the past they have had a bucket of (5) domestic beers for $10-15, $2 shots and more.
