MGM Grand Hotel & Casino is on the “four corners” of the south Las Vegas Strip. When it opened in 1993, it was the largest hotel complex in the world. The theme is Art Deco / Hollywood, California and they are a Marriott Bonvoy Hotel.
It has a total of 6,852 rooms and suites in the entire complex. These include:
- The main structure is the MGM Grand with 3,969 rooms and suites that were remodeled in 2025.
- The Studio Tower (formerly called West Wing) remodeled all 700 guest rooms in late 2022.
- SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand has 51 Lofts and it is rated AAA Five Diamond and a Forbes Five Star Hotel. It occupies the top two floors of the MGM Grand.
- The Mansion at MGM Grand has 29 Villas.
- The Signature at the MGM Grand has 1,728 Condo Units (many are privately owned) and the others are used as hotel units managed by MGM Resorts International.
The 6.5-acre pool complex has four swimming pools, three whirlpools and a lazy river. At least one pool remains open year-round. Palm Tree Beach Club replaced Wet Republic Ultra Pool in 2025 and is a Dayclub that is open during pool season.
The MGM Grand Spa & Salon is very popular and is open daily. They also have a fitness center, FedEx Office business center, Avis car rental and over a dozen stores.
They have over 171,500 square-feet of gaming space, with 1,300 of the latest slot and video poker machines. The casino pits have over 100 table games, including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Pai Gow Poker, Pai Gow Tiles, Baccarat, Let It Ride Poker, Three Card Poker, Texas Hold’em and more.
They have several High Limit gaming rooms, Poker Room and a very popular BetMGM Race & Sports Book. The MGM Grand is operated by MGM Resorts International, and they use the MGM Rewards loyalty card.

The attractions include Top Golf, The FRIENDS Experience, Zero Latency Virtual Reality and Level Up that features an arcade and live bands and entertainment weekends and select nights.
There are many entertainment choices at the MGM Grand, including KÀ by Cirque du Soleil, illusionist David Copperfield, dance troupe Jabbawockeez, Tape Face and Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club.
They also have Hakkasan Nightclub, which covers 80,000 square-feet over 5-levels and can accommodate over 3,900 guests. The MGM Grand Garden Arena seats 17,000 guests.
The MGM Grand Conference Center spans 850,000-square-feet and features three levels of meeting spaces, ballrooms, and exhibit halls.
Fun Fact: The Bronze lion outside of the MGM Grand Hotel weighs 50 tons, making it the largest bronze sculpture in the country.
Fun Fact 2: MGM Grand Adventures theme park operated from 1993 until 2000 on a portion of the resort. It had a movie studio theme, seven rides and four theaters. The Signature at MGM Grand and Top Golf now occupy the space.
