Planet Hollywood Las Vegas is a resort and casino at the center of the Las Vegas Strip. It opened as the Aladdin in 1966 and was demolished in 1998 to build the “new” Aladdin, that opened in 2000. That failed in 2007, and it was re-branded Planet Hollywood. It is owned by Caesars Entertainment and the theme is Hollywood, California.

They have 2,496 rooms, including 231 suites. The redesigned, 450-square-foot Ultra Hip rooms feature designer touches, along with a mini-refrigerator. Tip: Many of the rooms facing the Las Vegas Strip have fantastic views of the Fountains of Bellagio.

The Scene Pool Deck offers two separate pool decks, one for all-ages and the other for guests over 21 years of age. They also have the Strip’s first professional free-standing wave, the FlowRider.

Other amenities include, Reflections The Spa at Planet Hollywood, 24/7 fitness center, business center, wedding chapels, Enterprise car rental and several shops.

They have 100,000 square-feet of gaming with 875 slot and video poker machines. The casino pit has 67 of the most popular table games, including Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Pai Gow Poker, Baccarat, Let It Ride, Three Card Poker and more.

On weekends, they have the “Pleasure Pit” with sexy dealers and dancers. They also have a High Limit Slots Room and a Caesars Race & Sportsbook. Their loyalty program is Caesars Rewards.

There are dozens of dining options at Planet Hollywood and the Miracle Mile Shops, including:

Planet Hollywood is also home to PH Live, which features many top name acts and seats 7,000 guests. They also have Criss Angel MINDFREAK in his own 1,000 seat theater and the male revue show Chippendales with over 300 seats.

They are connected to Miracle Mile Shops which is an indoor shopping mall that spans 1.2 miles. It has over 150 stores, restaurants and live entertainment venues.

Planet Hollywood has over 83,000 square-feet of flexible meeting and convention space, including the 36,800 square-foot Grand Ballroom.

Fun Fact: Elvis and Priscilla Presley got married at the original Aladdin Hotel (now Planet Hollywood Las Vegas) on May 1, 1967.

Fun Fact 2: The Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas was very popular, until they decided to reduce the size. This happened after a major flood from a broken water pipe in the second-floor showroom (now the Criss Angel Theater). It reopened at half the size but permanently closed after the COVID-19 shutdown.
